Christianity and World Religions
This 6 week video-based study, written by Adam Hamilton, explores four major world religions – Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Judaism. This study deals openly and honestly with questions people ask about other religions, including why we believe the claims of Christianity over those of other faiths.

The Apostle Paul
Our study of the Apostle Paul will take us through a series of extremely well produced DVDs with the lectures presented by Dr. Luke Timothy Johnson, a highly recognized professor who has taught at the Yale Divinity School, Indiana University and Emory University.
Paul was an apostle to be both admired and despised. He was a complex individual and has been endlessly analyzed as one of the great converters in history. His view on women, slaves and others continues to be contentious. Our time will be spent watching and then discussing the presentations by Dr. Johnson as he takes us through Paul’s life and Paul’s letters while we gain an insight into the dynamics of the early church through Paul’s eyes and experiences.

Muslims, Christians, and Jesus
Gaining Understanding and Building Relationships. Six week video and small group discussion based on Carl Medearis’ book.
On Maundy Thursday Jesus taught us Christians that the new covenant mandate was to love one another as God loves us. In this six week Faithworks class we will be exploring the following: “How are those of us who follow Jesus supposed to relate to Muslims? This is not a question about differences between the religions of Christianity and Islam, nor is it about political distinctions between the Muslim world and the west. It is, rather, a question of the heart. How do we express an attitude of love and compassion toward people we don’t understand? How do we reach out to people who follow an unfamiliar religion that most of us find intimidating? How do we deal with our fear and suspicion so that we might begin to build bridges that lead to Jesus, the Prince of Peace?” excerpt from Muslims, Christians, and Jesus

Final Words
Stand by the foot of the cross and take Jesus’ dying words into your heart. In this 6 week study written by Adam Hamilton, you will be introduced to the people who heard Christ’s last statements and invites you to reflect on them as you journey through Lent.
