MindWorks is one half (FaithWorks being the other half) of an educational program for our community of faith and our local community. FaithWorks contains Christian Education programs that strengthen one's spiritual journey while MindWorks classes, events, trips, etc. explore other corners of human interest.

MindWorks
The following is our program for those who want to participate in continued learning for adults. Enjoy single lectures, workshops and short courses with no exams or grades! It is learning for the joy of learning. Listed below are our current courses. Return to this page often to keep up to date on any new offerings.

1. Fitness 'n' Fun, Stretch 'n' Tone: This class is structured to accommodate all fitness levels. Each session will have specific exercises aimed at building strength, endurance and flexibility of all muscle groups, improving balance, coordination, agility, improved breathing and stress control: taught by a certified fitness instructor. The class meets each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Instructor: Art Anderssen. Fee $30 for 10 lessons.

2. Card Embroidery Class: Create beautiful personalized greeting cards, using colored thread and card stock, by attending a five-week class that will be again offered on Wednesday mornings from 10 AM to noon. Popular in Europe, this new craft is growing in the United States. From simple to intricate, participants will learn, step-by-step how to add a touch of elegance to handmade card creations or scrap booking projects. There is a $5 donation per class. First time participants may need to purchase a packet of project tools and supplies that are estimated at $35 plus a piercing tool and pad costing $5 each. Sign up at the carousel. Classes will start September 24 in classroom 1.

3. Creator’s Crafters: Bring a brown bag lunch and your own drink - stay as long as you wish. Bring any craft you like or need help with. Or just come to socialize and see what others are doing. Do you have a project that you laid down and would like to finish? We al have UDOs (unfinished objects). Sit and chat, and turn those into completed projects. We’ll meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. Classes will start September 23.
