The mission of Burnt Store Presbyterian Church's Missions Ministry is to respond to His call by reaching out to all people. The Missions Ministry is dedicated to reaching out and helping others locally, nationally and around the world. Assistance is given with “hands on” activities as well as financially to some 30 organizations. Feeding the homeless, --- providing food and clothing to migrant farm workers, --- working with boys in a group foster home, ---delivering food so school kids have something to eat over the weekends, -- ringing the bell and manning a station for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Christmas activity, --- participating in national and international mission efforts --- and building with the Habitat for Humanity -- these are a few of the many opportunities for church members to help some of God’s children who are in need. The following is a list of the local, domestic, and world organizations supported by our church..

Back Pack Kidz helps bridge this gap in food by providing a backpack filled with nutritious food to over 1500 children for use over the weekends.

BSPC, through the Missions Ministry, participates in this activity by contributing both funding $4,000.00 in January 2023, from Missions Ministry Budget Items, and “hands on” assistance. Approximately 120 packages of food are delivered, each week, by BSPC members to two Charlotte County elementary schools. In 2022 the Pack Pack Kidz organization delivered 1500 packages weekly.
During Covid19, food continued to be delivered in plastic bags because children could not bring their back packs back to school. The important thing is that food continued to be delivered.
Food given to children is purchased from U S Foods. Elementary school children receive 16 items of food in a bag. All food is single portion food and does not require refrigeration or cooking.
