"Sing to the Lord a new song...with the sounding of the trumpet...with the harp and lyre...tambourine and dancing...strings and flute...Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." (Psalm 149 & 150)
The chancel choir provides music leadership for the 8:30 Traditional Service. Music sung by this choir ranges from master composers of the past, to choral innovators of today. The choir is open to individuals of high school age or older. The choir is usually accompanied by the piano or organ. Other instruments might be added for special occasions. Beside the Traditional Service, the choir will present an Easter and Christmas Cantata or Musical during the church year. Rehearsals each week are on Thursday from 5:00-6:30 p.m. The choir is presently on recess for the summer from June 6th through August 29th. For more information, contact the Music Director.
The Bell Choir is a group of handbell musicians who play on our church’s five octave Schulmerich hand bells and three octave Malmark hand chimes. This group rehearses weekly on Wednesday from 4:00 -5:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Membership is open to those with previous bell ringing experience or anyone who would like to learn how to ring. This choir rings periodically for worship services and special services or events throughout the church year. For more information, contact the Music Director.
The Praise Team brings the music to the 10:30 service. Singers and musicians lead worship with everything from hymns, to today’s Contemporary Christian Praise & Worship songs that you may hear on many Christian radio stations. Guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, drums, and percussion are the “sounds of the service”. Soloists are encouraged to lend their voices. Note reading is not a requirement. The team practices Wednesdays at 6:15 - 8:00 pm in the sanctuary. Contact the Praise Team Director for more information
